Timber decking soon turns grey, green and slippery as algae and weathering build up on the boards. We clean and restore decking on homes across Middlesbrough and Teesside.
We use a two-part chemical clean that lifts the algae, dirt and weathering from the timber and helps bring back its natural colour. If you want to go further, we can lightly sand the boards and finish them with oil to protect the wood.

No. The two-part clean on its own makes a big difference. Sanding and oiling are optional extras if you want a smoother finish and extra protection for the timber.
Once it has dried after the clean. If you choose to have it oiled, we'll tell you how long to leave it, as it depends on the oil and the weather.
Cleaning removes the algae and dirt that are there now. Oiling helps protect the timber, and a clean every so often keeps it looking its best.
