No. Our preferred method is to remove the moss by hand and follow up with a biocide treatment, which kills what's left and slows regrowth.
The biocide treatment kills the remaining spores, so regrowth is much slower than if the moss was simply scraped off. How long it lasts depends on shade and nearby trees.
